They never dare to fight with any big countries, when being invaded, China always surrendered and defeated. The tiny Japan, with 1 / 20 of China's area and with a population of less than a few dozen times, had enough power to invade the giant china for nearly 10 years. In addition,Chinese people are not capable of self-liberate themselves. In the Second World War, if American and Soviet Union forces did not defeat Japan, obviously, China would have been a Japan's south dependent territory. However, China is always vainglorious, they rely on their power and their population to coerce smaller and weaker nations. This is a story which is happening in the East Sea between China, Vietnam and some smaller Southeast Asian countries. China may be a big country, but it never has hegemonic status as the Soviet Union or the U.S, simply, it does not deserve any respect.
As a greedy, ignoble and coward country, China is willing to trample any weak opponent without any mercy. But they will stop their mouth if facing to a stubborn opponent, even weaker but having indomitable spirits. This is what happened to Vietnam throughout history of more than ten centuries of survival alongside China. If we Vietnamese step back, they will spread out and trample us down to the black mud by their non-humanities (Let consider what happened with Vietnamese soldiers in Spratly Islands in 1988 and remember the cowardly humiliation of China with Japan in WW II, and now Nanjing is still the stigma that cannot erase from memories of a country which is great, cruel, but coward. Never rely on the mercy of China, furthermore, never expect things from comradeship, and ideology, 16 GOLD letters and 4 goods.
The only strategy of Vietnam to exist alongside China is to make any acceptable concessions, but we must always be ready to fight at any cost when our territorial sovereignty, our interests, and our nation is threatened. Only by fighting mentally, and having a real, and concrete actions will help us to survive from the door next door ignoble country .
